Manuscript submission - Manuscripts submitted to Contributions to Zoology should be sent by e-mail to email@example.com. All files should be submitted separately, the manuscript as .doc or .rtf and figures in high resolution. In addition, a review version of the manuscript in PDF format, with all the figures and tables embedded, is required. Online supplementary files are supported. We will confirm the safe receipt of your work within three working days. All manuscripts are subject to peer review. Submitted manuscripts (in whole or in part) must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. When accepted for publication manuscripts are still subject to the successful editing of contents and presentation, in collaboration with the office.
Manuscript preparation - Articles for Contributions to Zoology should be written in the English language (UK spelling). Ensure that the document is in the following order: Title, Authors, Addresses including the e-mail address of the corresponding author, Key words, Abstract, Body of the article, Acknowledgements, References, Appendices, Tables, Figures and online Supplementary information. The 'Body of the article' will normally be composed of an Introduction, Material and methods, Results, and Discussion. Digital formats to be used are text files in Word format with lines numbered, with Figures and Tables separate as TIFF, JPEG, AI (minimum 600 dpi) and Excel files, respectively. The first appearance of species names should be accompanied by the author and year. Multiple in-text references are in temporal and then alphabetical order. References are to be arranged alphabetically by author. Journal names should be written in full. We encourage authors to include hyperlinks including DOI addresses.
